Grimm, Shelley - HONDURAS

Shelley was approved as a WBF missionary in August 2014.  She was born in Florida while her Dad was associate pastor of Pompano Baptist Temple.  Her parents are John and Linda Grimm who are 1970 graduates of what was then Bible Baptist Seminary.  Her uncle and aunt are Edgar and Barbara Graham.

She was 5 years old when she received Christ during family devotions.  At the age of 12, she dedicated her life to do whatever God wanted and at 15 she felt the call to be a missionary.

Shelley graduated from Malone University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts in English (Secondary Education) and in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.  She graduated from Cedarville University in 2004 with a Masters in Education.

In 2002 at the age of 27, she became a missionary to Nicaragua.  After raising support and language school in Costa Rica, she served in Nicaragua faithfully for 7 years evangelizing, discipling and doing Biblical Counseling.  She trained national believers to lead the Discipleship and Biblical Counseling programs and mentored ministry leaders who were studying in a Bible Seminary at her church in Managua.

After visiting Honduras in 2014, she feels led to continue the same work in Honduras building up local church plants by helping people to grow spiritually and spread the gospel to hurting people as well as mentoring ministry leaders.

Her sending church is the Vandalia Baptist Temple where Pastor Rick Washburn, Jr. is pastor.
