NEWSLETTER
AUGUST 2008
The month of August is very important for us here
at the World Baptist Fellowship Mission Agency, as we welcome our
missionary candidates to the WBF Mission Family.
This year we have some fine candidates and we will introduce them
in the next newsletter. Pray
for these fine men and women as they begin their ministry of deputation.
Please be in prayer for Bro.
and Mrs. Schembera and the group who will be in Ecuador this month
on a mission trip. They
will do construction on a church building and hold special services in
several churches. Pray that
the Lord will bless their ministry with the salvation of souls and
edification, not only of a building, but of the Ecuadorian believers to
whom they will minister.
Please make your plans to attend this year’s WBF
Fall Meeting that will take place October 13-15, 2008 at the Trinity
Baptist Church in Big Spring, Texas.
The church is located at 810
11th Place (P. O. Box 1448), Big Spring, TX 79721.
If you need assistance in booking hotel accommodations for the
meeting you may call the church office at 432-267-6344, or the Mission
Office at 817-274-7161. A
listing of hotels will be in the July/August issue of the Fundamentalist
along with a schedule of the services at the Fall Meeting.
We look forward to seeing a great number of friends and family at
the meeting.
At the Fall Meeting each year we receive the
Special Mission Offering, which is used to subsidize the General Fund
for the operation of the Mission Office.
The goal for this year’s offering is $50,000 and this amount is
greatly needed to help us in our service to the missionary families and
their supporting churches. Please
have a part in this special offering as the Lord leads and provides.
Bring your offering to the meeting, or you may mail it to the WBF
Mission Office marked, “Special Mission Offering”.
We have been blessed through the years by the faithfulness of
God’s people and we expect that this year we will once again reach our
goal through your faithfulness.
The Mission Store is also a vital part of the Fall
Meeting each year. Through
the years tens of thousands of dollars worth of merchandise has been
donated to help our missionaries set up housekeeping and do the work on
the field. Almost any item
you would use for your kitchen or office can be used by our
missionaries. There is a list of needed items in the same issue of
the Fundamentalist. These
items should be shipped to the Trinity Baptist Church in Big Spring in
time to arrive before the meeting, October 13-15, 2008.
Please remember in prayer our missionaries who are
battling illness. Sandy
Janky and Charlene Neill
are both recovering from hip replacement surgery and both are doing well
at this time. Dale
Brown is receiving treatment for MS and seems to be doing well at
present. Little
Eliana Densmore has had a good month, without having been to the
hospital. Doyle
Whaley is battling Alzheimer’s Disease. Mike Lane
continues to improve following treatments for prostate cancer.
Mark McCutchen
is recovering from surgery and pneumonia. Debi
Harris, Monnie Bacon, Gloria
Higgins, Mary Gagnon,
Joe Hawkins, Amber
Cato, Juanita Bowen all
need our prayers as they continue their battles with ongoing illness.
Thank you for your continuing faithfulness in
prayer and financial support for our missionary families in spite of
difficult economic times. God
will richly reward you for your faithfulness in helping to carry the
Gospel to the regions beyond.
