February 2010 Dear folks, There is a saying in Spanish, "El hombre propone y Dios dispone." Man proposes and God disposes, which means, bottom line, God is in control! Our February trip to Honduras to work on a Sunday School building expansion had to be cancelled. On January 23rd (Saturday) I fell ill with what I thought was food poisoning. (Dot was already in Honduras helping out with a couple of camps and I had been eating my own cooking.) By Sunday morning I was on my knees with pain and was admitted to the hospital in Arlington with acute pancreatitis. To shorten the story, eleven days later I was discharged. Dot cut her stay in Honduras and hurried home. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your prayers!! In spite of NOT being able to help in this project we were able to forward $5000.00 to pastor Ramon for the building materials. This is the money you folks sent in for this addition. At this writing the construction goes on with church members and local labor. As soon as we can we will send a photo of the completed building. The doctors have advised me to lay low for a while and not visit third world countries. Hopefully it will be a short layoff. Will you pray to that end??
